Super Ninja Adventure: Tips and Tricks for Every Level

Everything I wish I knew before my first run — honest insights from hours of platforming chaos.

Super Ninja Adventure: Tips and Tricks for Every Level

Okay, real talk — the first time I opened Super Ninja Adventure, I thought it'd be a quick five-minute distraction. Three hours later I was still trying to clear the third stage, sweating over a particularly annoying gap that I kept falling into. If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

This guide isn't a dry list of mechanics ripped from a manual. It's the stuff I actually figured out through trial, error, and a lot of frustrated restarts. Let's dig in.

Start Slow — Seriously, Slow Down

I know it's tempting to sprint through levels the moment you load in. The game looks fast, the ninja animation is snappy, and you feel like you should be moving at full speed constantly. But that instinct will get you killed over and over in the early stages.

The first thing I learned was to walk to the edge of every platform and look before I leapt. Super Ninja Adventure places enemies and gaps in positions that punish impatient rushing. Take a second to scope the next section — you'll save yourself a lot of restarts.

  • Walk to platform edges rather than sprinting blindly off them
  • Pause to count enemy patrol cycles before engaging
  • Look for visual cues that hint at hidden drops or platforms below
  • Never assume a gap is uncrossable — there's often a wall-jump solution

Master the Wall Jump Early

This one changed everything for me. Super Ninja Adventure has a wall-jump mechanic that isn't always obvious from the tutorial alone. Once you get comfortable jumping toward walls and bouncing off them, you'll unlock entirely new paths through every level.

The trick is timing. Press jump just as your character touches the wall surface — not before, not after. It feels awkward the first twenty times. Then suddenly it clicks and you're scaling vertical shafts that looked completely impossible before. Some secret areas in the game are only reachable this way, so it's worth practicing even when you don't strictly need it to progress.

"The wall jump felt broken to me at first. Then I realized I was jumping away from the wall instead of into it. One small tweak and everything changed."

Your Slash Has More Range Than You Think

The ninja's slash attack extends further horizontally than the character's visual sprite suggests. I spent way too long playing defensively because I assumed enemies needed to be right next to me before I could hit them. They don't.

Try attacking from a full body-length away. You'll hit enemies before they even reach you, which means you take no damage. Against the heavier armored enemies that appear mid-game, this extra reach is the difference between taking a hit and dispatching them cleanly.

  • Attack from maximum range to avoid contact damage
  • Use the slash on enemies below you while standing on edges
  • Chain slashes quickly — the animation recovery is fast if you don't pause
  • Against multiple enemies, position so your slash arc hits two at once

How to Handle the Armored Guards

Around the mid-point of the game, you'll start encountering armored guards — the ones with the darker colour palette that take more hits. New players (including past-me) tend to panic and spam attacks. Don't.

These enemies have a brief stun window right after they swing at you. If you dodge their attack — either by jumping over it or backing up — they enter a short recovery animation. That's your cue to land two or three quick slashes. Rinse and repeat. Trying to out-trade them toe-to-toe never works; patience does.

Checkpoint Strategy

The game has checkpoints, but they're not always placed where you'd expect them. When I found a checkpoint mid-level, I used to rush past it assuming the next one was just around the corner. Bad idea. The spacing between checkpoints varies a lot.

My current approach: whenever I reach a checkpoint, I deliberately slow down and play conservatively for the next section. I'm essentially banking my progress. If a risky jump or a tough fight is ahead, I'd rather take the safe path and arrive at the next checkpoint intact than gamble and restart from further back.

  • Identify checkpoints visually — they're usually glowing objects or flags
  • After touching a checkpoint, play more cautiously for the next section
  • Don't attempt tricky jumps without first checking if a safer route exists

Power-Up Priority

When multiple power-ups are visible at once, players often grab whatever is closest. But there's a smarter order. The speed boost sounds exciting but it actually makes precise platforming sections much harder if you're not used to it. Save that for the open running sections.

The attack power-ups are almost always worth grabbing immediately — they let you one-shot regular enemies, which dramatically speeds up encounters and reduces the time you're exposed to damage. The shield/invincibility bursts are best saved for right before a group of enemies rather than used the moment you find them.

Don't Forget to Look Up and Down

Super Ninja Adventure rewards curious players. Vertical exploration is built into the level design but it's easy to miss because our instinct as platformer players is to move horizontally toward the exit. Some of my most satisfying discoveries came from dropping down ledges I would have normally bypassed, or jumping up toward what looked like the ceiling and finding a hidden path.

Even if exploration doesn't reveal secrets every time, looking vertically helps you spot enemies above and below before they spot you — giving you a positional advantage in encounters.

Quick Tips Summary

  • Slow down at edges; scout before jumping
  • Practice wall jumps in safe areas before you need them urgently
  • Attack from maximum range — your slash is longer than it looks
  • Be patient with armored guards; punish them in their recovery window
  • After checkpoints, play conservatively to protect your progress
  • Prioritise attack power-ups first; save speed boosts for open sections
  • Look up and down — vertical exploration hides secrets and advantages
